I think I'm gonna have Monsoon Burger tonight in Fairfield. If you haven't
had Monsoon Burgers, you haven't had the best burger in town. I already have
a review for Monsoon Burger in the "Fairfield" quick list to your left, but
I wrote that almost three years ago. But if I'm still eating there three
years later, what does that tell you about Monsoon Burgers?
Here's what works for them: the grilling. Monsoon Burgers grills their
patties on a rotating grill that ensures even cooking. I would sometimes
stand next to the topping bar and watch my patties cook because it was
fascinating. They never get burned. They never flame up, yet you can still
taste the smokiness as if you grilled them outside. I don't know how they do
it. There are a million burger places in Fairfield but that's the only one I
want to go to for a sit-down burger.
If you decide to go for lunch, make sure you show up right when they open
around 11. Otherwise, you're gonna be waiting outside. And if you see a nice
black Porsche in the front parking spot, it belongs to Pei, Monsoon Burger's
owner. Nice guy and always chats me up when I walk in.
Now I don't know if I can wait until dinner for Monsoon!
